What Am I Looking AT?
An exhibition of a selection of works by Australian artists, brought together in an exploration of their use of form, colour and material.
Contemporary jewellery is an art form, often seen as a wearable, sculptural object. Wearing it, as well as making it, is often seen as an act of self-care while making a statement. A contemporary jewellery piece can create curiosity, provoke a sense of whimsy, initiate conversation or even laughter. It provides a conscious moment that honours an artist’s idea, the material used, the techniques employed and sometimes exquisitely, all three.
In this 2026 iteration of the Australian group exhibition”What Am I Looking At”, the exhibited works are addressing this open-ended whimsical question, which in turn, seeks to additionally elicit the additional provocation: what unites us collectively?
Can we be in harmony, whilst also celebrating the beauty and the differences of the individual?
