Azin Soltani, winner of the Herbert Hofmann Prize 2024, bases her pieces of jewellery on the traditional architecture of Iranian houses, which consist of brick mosaics on the outside and layers of plaster with murals, mirrors and other fine details on the inside. Handmade mud bricks for the walls, which you see when you walk through the streets; and handmade plaster and mirror decorations inside the houses, which you see when you are invited and allowed in.
